Value
Whether the resource you spent — ult, cooldown, HP, or time — generated a return equal to or greater than the investment.
The shared language for measuring every action by return on investment. The same ult is high value if it takes multiple kills, low value on a single kill or a whiff. Judging a resource trade or a bait ult also collapses into "who took the value," which makes it the smallest unit of calls, casting, and self-review. When no value seems to be coming out, it's usually the timing or the target that's off, not the action itself.
Use it in fight reviews as the axis for asking "did this ult get value?" Saying "no value" in a call frames the issue as return on investment rather than right-or-wrong of the action itself.
Chasing value too hard turns into a ban on ulting in low-value situations, and you hold ults too long. The team takes forced positions in the name of "getting value" and gets picked.
Resource Trade
Spending a minor cooldown to force a major defensive one, netting an advantage for the real fight.
Bait Ult
Forcing the enemy to spend an ultimate on empty space or a low-value target.
Bait Cooldown
A light pressure move to draw out enemy defensive cooldowns (Suzu / Lamp / Immo) before the real engage.
Ult Cycle
Long-game management of team ult economy across fights — engineering favorable trades every round.
Dry Ult
Initiating a fight intentionally without ultimates to force the enemy to spend one or more ults, rebalancing the economy even in defeat.
