Jiggle Peek
Small ADAD peeks at a wall edge that expose your body for an instant to draw enemy sightlines and CDs.
The core is choosing between this and a hard peek that fully exposes your body; the value lies in moving in and out within a range where you cannot be hit or picked. Against high-headshot-value opponents like Widowmaker, Hanzo, and Cassidy, it extracts only information — did they shoot, and where were they aiming — plus their reload and CD spend. If the balance between exposure width and speed breaks down you get hit instead, so control is hard until you are used to it. Its purpose partly overlaps with Bait Cooldown (the judgment and concept of drawing out an ability), but jiggle peek is a movement technique referring to how you move your body in and out, while bait CD refers to the judgment of when and what to make them spend — different things. It is a tech common to FPS in general, and in OW it is used constantly in fights against snipers and hitscan.
When facing headshot-threat heroes at a wall edge, use ADAD to flick your body in and out in small increments, baiting shots and burning their ammo. Use it as the information basis (their line of sight, their reload timing) for deciding when to switch to a hard peek.
Exposing too much width so the "jiggle" becomes an ordinary peek, and eating a headshot. Or moving too slowly and settling into a fixed rhythm, letting flick snipers pre-read you and land shots in a cluster.
Pre-fire
Pre-aiming a known spawn point or pathing route to win the first frame of contact.
Off-angle
Solo position offset 60–120° from the main formation, enabling crossfire while taking minimal return fire.
Bait Cooldown
A light pressure move to draw out enemy defensive cooldowns (Suzu / Lamp / Immo) before the real engage.
Poke
Long-range composition that whittles HP from afar, builds ult charge, and forces the enemy to commit first.
