Bodyblock
Using your own hitbox to block an enemy sightline or path, absorbing damage or cutting off an escape route.
Where peel is an active answer that protects a teammate by putting pressure on the enemy, a bodyblock is passive defense that erases the sightline itself with your own hitbox. Slotting your body behind a retreating teammate to take the focus for them, cutting off the escape route of an enemy who dove in to isolate them, pinning Ball inside Rein's hammer range — it is teamwork that uses HP as a shield. Not just tanks: supports and DPS with space do it frequently as well. Buying just a few seconds as the bridge until a teammate gets back across the death line to full HP swings win rates significantly.
Isolating an enemy who dove in to set up a stagger. Securing an escape route for a support taking focus. Rein stepping in front of a friendly DPS to keep them out of Hammer swing range.
Committing so far into the block that all focus lands on you and you go down before the teammate you were covering does. Trying to cut off the escape route but positioning loosely enough that the enemy slips through.
Peel
Switching mid-fight focus to protect a backline ally from a diving threat.
Stagger
Delaying an enemy kill so they respawn out of sync with their team for the next fight.
Dive
High-mobility composition that bursts down enemy supports and disengages immediately.
